Dance your way into the weekend
The hugely popular Chainsmokers are performing in Dubai on Thursday night as part of two-day festival Redfest, and we’re thinking it’s going to be packed out. The American EDM duo will be joined by Russ, Kelli-Leigh, and Anthony Touma at the Media City Ampitheatre, with more acts to follow on Friday. Make the most of this pleasantly cool weather and enjoy some al fresco music while you can.

Party with a pop star
The Jumeirah Beach Hotel’s Mahiki is a reliably good time, with a friendly crowd and very danceable tunes. This Thursday, UK singer Leigh Ann Pinnock (you’ll know her from girl group Little Mix) is hosting, and that means free cocktails for ladies until midnight. Get the girls together, we’d say.

We’re not opposed to a bit of luxury around here, as you will have noticed, but we also can’t turn down a bargain. To celebrate the US’s National Pizza Day on Friday, Pizza Express is offering up their classic margherita pizza for only Dhs9. You can’t even get a latte for that money. Outstanding.

Drai’s is one of Las Vegas’s biggest super clubs, and to say its Dubai opening has been hotly anticipated would be a bit of an understatement. The wait is over, though, and Canadian rapper Tory Lanez is here to kick things off. Think a day-to-night pool party with a pretty excessive vibe.

See an acclaimed Egyptian film
We love a bit of regional cinema, and this film from Egyptian director Hala Elkoussy looks gorgeous. Cactus Flower follows three strangers in Cairo, brought together when they all become homeless. It was a hit at last year’s Dubai International Film Festival.
