Our Top Picks: 6 Things To Do In Dubai This Weekend
The weekend is finally here, and we’re going to be making the most of it with free pool parties, evening brunches and two-for-one manis.
Go for a late-night dip
You can now maximise the weekend fun with a new weekly late-night party at the Atlantis’ picturesque pool. From 7pm, you can grab a floatie and hit the water, as resident DJs spin some tunes. There’ll be snacks to snap up if you get peckish, as well as games throughout the night offering prizes. Sounds like the perfect way to shake off the working week…
Nasimi Beach, The Atlantis, The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, from 7pm until midnight. Free entry, happy hour from 7pm to 9pm. Tel: (04) 426 2626. facebook.com/nasimibeach.
Hit the brunch a bit early…
Why wait until Friday afternoon when you can fill your belly on a Thursday night? That’s what you’ll find at Reform Social & Grill, which has just launched a new weekly evening brunch. Between 6pm and 8pm on Thursday, you can find a two-hour unlimited package of British bar snacks and drinks, plus some nostalgic 90s tunes to set the mood. Our tummies are already rumbling at the sound of a mini toad in the hole…

See two Arab stars perform live
To celebrate this year’s edition of Dubai Summer Surprises, two local singing sensations are putting on a free concert in the City Centre Mirdif mall. Fouad Abdulwahed and Dalia Mubarak (who recently collaborated on the single Mamnou) will take to the stage from 9pm, meaning you can pick up a few treats, grab a quick dinner and catch a gig, all before bedtime.

Get a mani with a gal pal
This newly-launched salon (part of the nail chain’s UAE portfolio) is offering a special deal to celebrate its opening. Until September 30, you can get two essential manicures for the price of one as part of their Glam with your Girlfriend promotion. So grab a pal and have a leisurely gossip as you get pampered (and this offer is only on in the d3 salon, FYI).

Check out a new yoga studio
He’s been working with fitness fans in the UAE for 14 years, and now yoga coach Sanjeev Krishna has set up a new studio and wellness centre in Jumeirah. There are classes for beginners and pros alike, with varieties taught including hatha, yoga nidra, yoga for couples, teens or the elderly, and prenatal and post-natal options. There’s even zero-gravity swing yoga on offer, if you’re feeling more adventurous (and meditation, in case you’re not).

At his JW Marriott Marquis restaurant you’ll find a six-course set menu inspired by Kochhar’s childhood, with dishes including lamb kebabs, keema toast and fisherman-style crispy fried fish.
