What: All’Italiana brunch

The lowdown: The Italians are known for their food and their loud sharing family lunches. Well, that’s exactly what is on offer here. Begin with starters of calamari, burrata and pizzettes, moving to Italian staples of handmade ravioli and lasagna, braided beef, chargrilled chicken and sea bream fillets. Save some space for the mouthwatering pannacotta, cannoli siciliani and the ever famous Tiramisu.
Extra: The impressive traditional wood-fired pizza oven, the peaceful garden and the terrace surrounded by luscious olive trees. The lowdown: Sit under beach umbrellas, dipping your toes in the sand or if that’s not your cup of tea move to the air conditioned indoor seating. Feast on Mediterranean starters served to your table followed by a main course of your choice and desserts.
Extra: For an additional Dhs100 per person get access to the pool and beach for the day.

What: A la carte brunch
Where: Mint Leaf Of London, DIFC
The lowdown: The stunning views of the Burj Khalifa is just one of the pluses. If you love spices then this brunch is for you, specialising in different kinds of chaats (Indian street foods), mixed grills and curries. And if you want to sample more from the menu, just go ahead and order. It’s included in the brunch meal, too.
Extra: DJ playing 1980s and 1990s retro tunes only adds to the experience.

Where: Yalumba, Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre
Lowdown: With banners, fancy hats, balloons and children’s colouring books the party scene is set, and as you make way to your table the festive atmosphere has well and truly got hold of you. As you treat your palate to a wide spread of food including traditional English roast dinners, curries, pasta dishes and ice creams. Your little ones will have a gala time of their own, under supervision, with a mini buffet spread just for them. Children also have cartoon shows and face painting to keep them further entertained.
