With Dubai’s property market showing no signs of slowing down, new areas are fast being dubbed the ‘It hub’, with everyone claiming their hood is the best place to live. However, a new survey has revealed all.
A new survey conducted by movesouq.com, a UAE-based comparison site for moving and storage companies, has revealed the top 10 areas to live in Dubai and the results may not be what you would expect.
The company released the report based on 2,500 moving requests submitted on its portal. The submissions revealed that the vast majority (60 per cent) of moving activity was limited to 10 key areas.

This is the company’s second such survey of the year and the results have shown a distinct difference. In the first year quarter a similar report revealed that Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Downtown Dubai were key spots, however the latest report sees the Jumeirah Village, and even Dubai Land, creeping up the list, perhaps a reflection of families looking for bigger homes at a cheaper price.

Two of the biggest areas to have dropped down the list were Jumeirah Lakes Towers (it went from fourth position to seventh) and Palm Jumeirah, which dropped to eighth position. No surprise these are two areas where residents often complain about traffic issues.
