The second “unsinkable” ship will arrive from Singapore
An exact replica of the Titanic is currently under construction in China, being built by Blue Star Line – the same company who created the first ship over 100 years ago.

The ship will take its first journey from the shipyard to Singapore, before taking a two week journey to Dubai in 2022. Following Dubai, the ship is due to arrive in Southhampton, before making regular return journeys between Southhampton and New York City – the same route as the original Titanic.
The interior design of the ship will be an exact replica of the original Titanic, including restaurants and dining rooms, and guest rooms including first, second and third class. It is expected to be the most expensive cruise ship in the world, costing an estimated $ 500 million to create.
“Blue Star Line will create an authentic Titanic experience, providing passengers with a ship that has the same interiors and cabin layout as the original vessel, while integrating modern safety procedures, navigation methods and 21st century technology to produce the highest levels of luxurious comfort,” Blue Star Line chairman Clive Palmer told Cruise Arabia & Africa.
Know as the “unsinkable” ship the Titanic made its doomed maiden voyage from Southhampton in 1912. At the time it was the largest ship ever built and had 2,229 people on board, when it hit an iceberg and sank in the Atlantic Ocean with 1,503 people killed. The story was retold for a new generation, when the film Oscar-winning film Titanic was released in 1997 featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
Undeterred by the tragic end to the first ship, the company insists that the second ship – dubbed the Titanic II – will not face the same issues as its predecessor. According Palmer, the ship will travel during times of the year when there is less likely to be icebergs.
