Abu Dhabi residents – are you tired of Dubai having all the big malls?

Well, you’re in luck – Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi has announced a Dhs3 billion expansion.

The revamp will see an extra 120,000 square metres of space being added to the mall, with the added floor space being divided into two parts – north and south.

Inside the north block you’ll find department stores, a souk, more outlets, two office towers and a ‘fun city’.

The south block will feature department stores, a food plaza, another souk, high-end shops, two residential towers and other outlets as well as office space for the mall’s management.

As well as the general mall extension, there will also be an increase in the mall’s parking spaces.

The team behind the expansion are DP Architect, a Singaporean firm that were responsible for the design of Dubai Mall – who on top of the Dhs3 billion expansion will be giving the existing mall a Dhs300 million upgrade.
