Finally the weather is cool enough to kick back and enjoy an evening outdoors with a cold drink and friends. For a more glamorous take on your traditional BBQ, head to the rooftop lounge at Address Dubai Marina. Every Thursday throughout the winter, there will be  chefs BBQing meat at live cooking stations along with a live DJ spinning the decks. This weekend will see the electronic music festival, MUTEK return to Dubai. Shows will take place across the city, from the World Trade Center, to Dubai Knowledge Village and Stereo Arcade in JBR. Highlights include A Guy Called Gerald and Kuniyuki Takahashi, and ticket prices start from AED 100 for a day pass.

Saturday October 20

Have a glass of white or red while you paint 

Couqley French Bistro & Bar is holding a ‘paint and grape’ event this weekend. Guests can listen to French jazz music, with a glass in one hand and a paint brush in the other – we could definitely think of worse ways to spend a Saturday afternoon! The We Love Art event will focus on Monet, and all participants will be given a pre sketched canvas of his painting Woman with a Parasol along with all painting materials and up to three glasses of grape. The session will run for three hours, and an additional bottle of wine can be bought for AED 99.
