Local labels took over the French capital, and they did it in style.

Paris Fashion Week is the last stop on the fashion month circuit, and it’s always a bit special. No wonder then that these Middle East labels chose the French capital as the spot to showcase their wares. We’ve talked about Elie Saab’s Amazon Crush show already – we couldn’t wait – but here are a few other designers from the region who are worth celebrating.

December 19

This young Dubai-based brand is on our radar as one to watch, and they’ve taken part in a Parish showroom this week. Offering sleek, modern separates, December 19 is the work of Linda Bruun Lacin. She says it’s all about “understated wardrobe essentials with impeccable quality,” and we’re picking up what she’s putting down. Gorgeous stuff.

SemSem

Abeer Al Otaiba, the woman behind SemSem, is married to the UAE’s ambassador to the USA, so we’re already warmly disposed towards her. When you add in trousers like that, it gets that much better. We’re also very interested in that purple sequinned number on the rack. Who wants to shout us a trip to Paris to have a look in person?

Another look at #SemSem #SS18 in #fauxshowroom in Paris, until October 3rd. #PFW

Bonus feature! This zippy number is very intriguing, and we love the heels. Nice one, SemSem.

We’re calling it now: you’ll be seeing these modern-yet-classic looks on the red carpet as soon as they’re available. So simple and so striking –  colour does the talking for this Dubai-based label, along with a sharply defined waist. Tell us that last one doesn’t make you think Audrey Hepburn, we dare you.

This Dubai-based, Italy-produced label clearly thinks SS18 is all about layering and a bright tomato red. We’re feeling it.
