Feel like watching the latest tearjerker in the wee hours of the morning? You can do that now.

Movie buffs, it looks like you’re going to be spending the rest of summer inside the cinema. Vox Cinemas has just announced that three of its theatres in Dubai will operate for 24 hours every weekend for the rest of the season.

The 24-hour showings will be available at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif. It’s not clear if they’ll just be showing new releases, or if they’ll be adding some classics into the mix (we would personally love to attend a midnight screening of The Notebook, so no one can see us ugly-crying afterwards).

When can night owls start making the most of the special screenings? From this Thursday, July 12. A quick look at the Vox Cinemas website for Mall of the Emirates reveals that you can catch a 2am screening of Ocean’s 8, or see Paul Rudd in Ant-Man & The Wasp at 3.15am.

Movie-goers in Dubai are certainly spoiled for choice. Last week, a licensed cinema opened inside the Rove Downtown Hotel, for those wanting a more boutique experience.

And if you want to go full five-star, Reel Cinemas in the Dubai Mall is introducing Platinum Movie Suites, which will feature pod-style seats, pillows, blankets, and personal butlers.
