After the excitement of the Emirates Woman Woman Of The Year Awards, Fashion Forward plus a myriad of deadlines, the only thing to do was check into a spa. But not just any spa; Sense Spa at the popular Rosewood Hotel in Abu Dhabi was high on my list. Having only opened a couple of months ago, I simply had to check it out.
THE TREATMENT:
I indulged with the Diamond Sublime treatment, consisting of a diamond dust exfoliation and full body massage plus a 30-minute refresh facial, using products from the popular UAE-based skin care brand Shiffa, which is rapidly gaining huge popularity for its organic and no-nonsense properties. The facial at the end of the treatment was a perfect pick-me-up, refreshing lacklustre skin.
THE LOWDOWN:
The lovely therapist, Tezne, started by thoroughly exfoliating my skin with the Shiffa diamond dust. She then massaged my body with a hot oil, which instantly soothed my muscles. While my body was in a state of euphoria, Tezne worked her magic on my face with a deep cleanse followed by a beautiful hydrating mask, which instantly pumped up my skin – almost like collagen without the syringes.
THE RESULTS:
This is definitely a spa worth trying, especially if you really want to treat yourself and escape the world for a few hours. My skin felt unbelievably smooth and super-hydrated.
