The highly anticipated Louvre Abu Dhabi might not be fully complete yet, but it’s still managing to impress us after the museum hits a new milestone.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi’s impressive dome structure, which boasts eight layers of cladding consisting of 7,850 star-shaped pieces of aluminium and stainless steel of various sizes and angles has now been fitted with 4,500 tube lights. The result? A magnificent shining example of modern architecture, literally.

The new lighting system will be a permanent feature in the museum’s dome with the brightness level designed to be controlled and adjusted, according to the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC).
