The Bollywood superstar will wed Anand Ahuja in her hometown of Mumbai.
Rumours have been swirling for weeks now, but it’s confirmed. Indian actress Sonam Kapoor is set to wed her long-time beau, entrepreneur Anand Ahuja—and soon.
The Hindustan Times reports that the couple will marry in Mumbai on May 8.

“The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand,” the statement reads.
“Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
Back in April, Kapoor opened up about her dream wedding while on a trip to Dubai. The takeaway? It’s more about the relationship than a single celebration.
“I think the whole idea of a marriage is more appealing to me than a wedding,” she told The National.
“I think there is too much money spent; it’s all very crass, and I would rather give that money away. I’d rather have a wedding at home than anywhere else,” Kapoor continued.
While we’re sure Kapoor will looking stunning, it sounds like this wedding won’t be a super luxe event.
“I think it’s important to do all the rituals, but I don’t believe in spending all that money,” she told The National back in April.
“I find it disgusting and very wasteful, and I’m not okay with that at all.”
Well, we think congratulations are very much in order. We’ll be keeping a close eye out for any pictures Kapoor and Ahuja decide to release.
The pair have been together for more than two years.
