“[Her] faith and strength are an inspiration for us all,” Princess Haya said.
We don’t think anyone’s forgotten about the tragic loss of Jordanian pilot Muath Al Kassasbeh.
After his plane went down in Syria in December 2014, he was captured and subsequently killed by ISIS in early 2015.
Among those keeping the memory of the brave Al Kassasbeh alive are HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, who on Sunday hosted his mother in Dubai.

The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Princess Haya were joined by their children, Sheikha Al Jalila and young Sheikh Zayed. Al Kassasbeh’s mother also travelled with some family members – including a very small and gorgeous baby.
The two families spent time together in a relaxed, informal setting, and posed for some very heartwarming pictures which Princess Haya then posted on Instagram.
“We were honoured to welcome today the mother of our Jordanian Martyr, Muath Al Kassasbeh, and his sister and her children here in Dubai,” Princess Haya wrote alongside the pictures.
“We will never forget how heroic Jordanian Airforce Pilot Muath gave his life for his nation. His mother’s faith and strength are an inspiration for us all and the generations to come.”
The princess also tagged her post saying the pilot was a hero, and never forgotten.
He and his family are in our thoughts as well.
