The Crown Prince of Dubai spent his weekend at the races.
How’s this for a weekend away? HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum joined his father, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for the HM The King of Bahrain Endurance Cup, and it’s clear the pair used the opportunity for some quality time.
Both royals are known as keen equestrians – Sheikh Hamdan even has his own stable – so it makes sense that they were keen to support riders in this 120-kilometre race.

Here’s why Bill Gates is thanking HH Sheikh Mohammed
The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai praised the work that Bahrain’s leader, HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has put into supporting endurance racing in the country.
Of course, in a race that long, there’s a certain amount of downtime for those observing, and both Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Hamdan spent that time catching up with their Bahraini counterparts.

Sheikh Hamdan also posted this gorgeous photo of one of the young brothers riding in the desert.

Both Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Hamdan spent time chatting with attendees and riders, which we think would definitely make that long stretch in the saddle feel worthwhile.
The Ruler of Dubai said it was great to see such cooperation between Bahrain and the UAE in the sporting sector. We love to see those personal bonds, too.
