We are very sad to share the terrible news today that one of our favourite hair salons, Salon Ink, has been shut down following a fire. Salon Ink, which has been one of the major go-to salons among the beauty savvy in Dubai for the past nine years was forced to shut down after it was badly damaged from a fire.

Thankfully it seems no one was hurt in the blaze, however everything from the hair dyes to the computer systems were destroyed.

The cause of the fire at the salon, which is located on the top floor of Jumeirah Beach Park Plaza in Jumeirah 2, right next to the Dubai Canal construction, is yet to be confirmed however a source says it was something out of [Salon Ink’s] control.

Not letting the unfortunate incident get in the way of her business or let customers down, salon co-founded Kelly Cyndrowski said she is looking for a temporary location. Pictured above the team work tirelessly to update their clients.

Cyndrowski exclusively told What’s On:  “We’re tirelessly looking for a location to relocate to temporarily until the salon gets rebuilt, but that’s obviously challenging. That’s our main focus right now.”

The hairdresser, who is determined not to relocate on a full-time basis, estimates it will take around eight weeks to repair the fire damage and refit the salon space.

“There will obviously be a change to the look of the salon,” she told What’s On, optimistically adding, “A setback is a setup for a comeback. We’re hoping to be coming back bigger and better.”
