The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have announced the timings of their different services over the Eid Al Fitr holidays.

Ahead of the Eid holiday, RTA have revealed that there will be some changes, announcing the opening and operational hours for all their services have changed, including customer service centres, car parks, public buses, Dubai Metro and Tram, marine transit modes and vehicle testing and registration centres. Here’s everything you need to know to ensure your Eid is as smooth running as possible:

Taxis

People will be wanting to celebrate Eid by eating with friends and family and shopping for gifts, this means the roads are going top get busy. To prepare fro this the RTA will install 43 directional signs in the Burj Khalifa area to guide motorists to internal roads of the Business Bay leading up to the Sheikh Zayed Road & Al Khail Road  – the aim is to ease the pressure on the Financial Centre Street.

The number of taxis at The Dubai Mall and the World Trade Centre will be increased, in fact more than 90m per cent of the taxi fleet will be in full capacity over Eid.

RTA customer service centres

Will be off duty from Sunday, July 3 to Sunday, July 10.

Parking

All paid parking zones in Dubai will be free of charge except for the parking lots of the Deira Fish Market and all multi-level parking lots from July 3 to July 9.

Public buses

On July 6 and 7, the Gold Souk station will run from 5.20am and end at midnight.

Al Ghubaiba station will run from 5am to midnight.

Subsidiary stations such as Al Qusais and Satwa will operate from 5am to midnight, excluding Route C01, which will operate 24 hours a day.

Al Quoz Industrial Area station will started at 5.30am and close at 11.30pm.

Jebel Ali station will open at 6am and end at 10.15pm.

Feeder stations such as Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Abu Hail, Etisalat and Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall will be in service from 5.15am to 1.10am.

Metro

For July 5 and 7, Red Line stations will operates from 5.30am to 2am. Green Line stations will operate 5.50am to 2am.

On July 6, Red and Green Line stations will operate from 5.50am to 2am.

On July 8, Red and Green Line stations will operate from 10am to 2am.

Tram

Tram services will operate on July 5 and July 7 from 6.30am to 1am.

On July 8, Tram services will run from 9am to 1am.

Water Bus

Water bus at Marina Stations (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace and Marina Promenade) will run on July 5 and 7 from noon to midnight.

Water Taxi 

The Water Taxi at Marina Stations will operate daily from 9am to 10pm.

At Al Ghubaiba Station, the Water Taxi will operate daily from 4pm to 10pm.

At Dubai Marina station the Water Taxi will run daily from 2pm to 10pm.

From Jumeirah Palm Atlantis, the Water Taxi will operate daily from 4pm to 10pm.

From Jumeirah Palm Station (Rexos), the Water Taxi will operate daily from 11am to 5pm.

Dubai Ferry

The Dubai Ferry will operate from Al Ghubaiba and Marina stations throughout Eid al-Fitr from 11am, 1pm, then at 3pm, 5pm and 6.30pm.

Abra Dubai

The Abra from Dubai Creek Stations (Al Ghubaiba, Al Sabkha, Baniyas and Dubai Old Souk) will run from 10am to midnight.

The Blue Abra will operate at Burj Khalifa from 6pm to 11pm.

The Al Mamzar Abra will run from 2pm to midnight.

The Atlantis Abra will run from 1pm to 9pm.

The air-conditioned Al Jaddaf Abra will run from 7am to midnight.

Vehicle testing and registration centres

All service providers and partner centres will be closed from Tuesday, July 5 to Thursday, July 7.
