Suri Cruise has her own custom-made Louboutins, Harper Beckham has a designer wardrobe that’s the envy of the fashion industry and Prince George can make any piece of clothing a sell-out hit. No more is kids fashion about hand-me-downs – it’s big business, and the UAE has cottoned on.
It’s no surprise that brands are starting to wise up to this growing market that is kids fashion. This month in the UAE The Dubai Mall will be see the opening of its first stand alone high street kidswear store.
High street retailer River Island has announced the opening of a new stand-alone kidswear store at The Dubai Mall. This is the brand’s first dedicated kids store in the UAE, and the second in the Middle East – the first is in The Avenues in Kuwait.
The 142 square foot River Island Kids store is set to open on May 14. The collection range includes RI Mini (0 – five years) and RI Kids (three – 12 years) for boys and girls.
Reflecting River Island’s key aesthetics, the first collection to showcase in the new store is the spring/summer 2016 line, which perfectly compliments the River Island adult collection, with each piece designed with every little fashionista in mind.
Marking its breakthrough into the thriving kids market, to celebrate the opening, River Island will be giving all customers who spend Dhs250 in any of their Dubai stores between May 14 and 23, a Dhs50 off gift voucher to spend against their next purchase in the new kidswear store. The voucher will be valid until June 13.
“As a brand we are incredibly excited about the opening of our new kidswear dedicated store at The Dubai Mall. The store will epitomise our design ethos, providing a modern and forward thinking environment in which to shop and be inspired. We look forward to opening, and believe our fashion forward customers here in UAE will enjoy an entirely new River Island kids shopping experience at this solus store,” said Chris Edwards, Business Manager for River Island Middle East.
