A special moment for the designer
Lebanese fashion house, Maison Rabih Kayrouz, unveiled its first haute couture line since joining the French Couture Federation, earlier this month. The couturier’s Bohemian-style collection was displayed at the Parc André Citroën, in Paris on Monday.

The opening look was an office-appropriate ensemble, which featured a statement white blouse, with bat-like sleeves and sleek black trousers. This look gave way to similar, slightly formal pieces, in a burst of colors. One of the standout outfits from the runway was an off-white, high-collared princess-cut dress with a ripple effect.
Earthy colours and gold pieces were very prominent trough out the collection. Another show-stopping piece was a green and gold floor-length gown, with arched sleeves. The gown was clenched at the waist, and featured a thigh-high slit, flashing some leg.
Back in 2012, the designer made the shift to ready-to-wear, and it has since been his focus. During Monday’s show, he presented both ready-to-wear and couture pieces. He also ventured into menswear for the first time through this Fall 2019 collection.
