The Indian actress will star alongside Chris Pratt.
It’s been a huge couple of weeks for Priyanka Chopra. She celebrated her 36th birthday, reportedly got engaged to Nick Jonas, and appears to have landed the lead role in an upcoming Hollywood blockbuster.
The actress is in talks to star in the upcoming action flick Cowboy Ninja Viking opposite Chris Pratt, Entertainment Weekly reports.
The film will be based on the Image Comics graphic novel by A.J. Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo, which revolves around the story of an assassin who has the attributes of three deadly personas: a cowboy, a ninja, and a viking.
According to Variety, Chopra beat out a number of actresses after her chemistry test with Pratt went “extremely well”. The actress made her Hollywood live-action film debut in last year’s Baywatch, which starred Zac Efron.

News of her engagement with Jonas hit headlines over the weekend after Indian film director Ali Abbas Zafar announced she would no longer be starring in his upcoming film, Bharat.
“Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special, she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her … Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life,” he tweeted.

While many assumed Chopra’s departure was due to her planned nuptials, it sounds like this exciting new opportunity might have more to do with it.
Cowboy Ninja Viking is scheduled for release in June 2019.
