Get a free pamper

pastels

JBR salon favourite Pastels is turning 10, so to celebrate, it’s offering a free hair treatment and hair diagnosis from a Kerastase expert to anyone who’s booked a hair appointment for Thursday (so if you ring now, you could still get a slot). Everyone who visits the salon on the day will also be entered into a prize draw to win a complimentary 60-minute treatment. And with summer coming, we think our hair needs it…

Pastels Salon, Ritz Carlton Hotel, JBR, Dubai, open 9am to 7pm. Tel: (04) 399 5016. pastels-salon.com.

Friday 9

Enjoy a brunch that’s actually focused on breakfast food

We all know what a Dubai brunch really entails—it’s basically the biggest lunch of your life, where you eat and drink so much you’re asleep by 5pm. Bistro Des Artes, however, is all about an authentic Parisian brunch experience (ie it starts before 1pm). Expect traditional pastries, crepes, cereals, fresh eggs, pancakes and even a duck burger, plus plenty of juices, coffee and tea. You can also sit outside on the terrace and soak up the atmosphere of Dubai Marina as you lazily dine.

Bistro Des Arts, Dubai Marina Promenade, Dubai, Fridays and Saturdays 10am to 2pm. Dhs99 per person, or Dhs174 with three selected cocktails. Tel: (04) 55 11 576. bistrodesarts.ae.
