Because what we really need is another online shopping addiction…
Local all-purpose e-tailer Souq.com launched its Amazon store today, and predicatably, we’ve already filled a shopping cart.
The deal means more than a million products from Amazon are now available to shoppers in the UAE. They’ve concentrated on fashion and accessories initially, Souq chief executive Ronaldo Mouchawar told Gulf News. That suits us just fine.

NYE at the Burj Khalifa is going to look a little different this year…
It’s only the first phase, Mouchawar told the site, saying that in time “many millions” of Amazon products will be on the Souq marketplace.
“This brings global selection closer to our customers in the region, and we will continue to grow this further,” Mouchawar said.
All purchases will be inclusive of customs fees, and you can choose between two shipping options – two to four day priority shipping, and six to 10 day expedited shipping.
With those details sorted, here are the items we’ve got our eyes on. Enjoy.
These Sarah Jessica Parker flats (Dhs1,267) are the exact shoes to wear when you’re on your third after-work end of the year party of the week and heels are just not happening. No one could say these aren’t fancy.
Before things get to that point, try these Chinese Laundy pumps (Dhs294). Great price, great ’80s style reference.
Either this Halston Heritage dress (Dhs1,083) or JOA top (Dhs228) would be welcome additions to our wardrobes.
As would this Nanette Lepore dress (Dhs547). That’s a go-anywhere look.
At Dhs132, there’s literally nothing stopping you ordering this cute little orange cross-body bag from Nautica.
Slightly pricier, but still worth consideration, is this Rebecca Minkoff purse (Dhs643). Love the tassle.
For the lovable narcissist in your life who loves anything with their initial on it. This luggage tag will only set you back Dhs29.
