Baroque details and just a bit of gold.
It’s Couture Week in Paris right now, and you know what that means. We’re seeing fantasy-level gowns with the most luxurious detailing, and many of those looks are coming at us via designers from the Middle East.
So far, Georges Hobeika, of Lebanon, and Dubai-based Syrian designer Rami Al Ali have presented their spring-summer 2018 collections. The short answer is there’s a lot to love.

This bright red caped number is stunning. Imagine making an entrance in that. You’d feel like a medieval queen.
This seafoam Grecian number has the loveliest neckline. Beautiful.
There’s that gold we mentioned. Amazing.
And what a way to close the show. So much drama. We’re so pleased to see Hobeika is going to give us more beauties like this one Amber Heard wore recently…

You’ll find us frantically zooming in on this one for a better look at these beauties. From a distance, at least, we’re very into the pale blue number fourth from the left.
Another favourite. So glam.
Are we going to date ourselves terribly if we reference Serena van der Woodsen right now? You know she would have been into these.
We’ll keep you informed on the rest of the week’s delights as they occur.
