This Bahraini fashionista refined her look in London, and headed straight back home.
Dana Al Khalifa’s personal style would be enough to make us love her on its own. She’s got a sense of occasion and proportion that elevates even the most simple outifts, and the woman knows her way around a statement sleeve.
That’s not all she’s got going on, though. Al Khalifa has a masters degree in law from King’s College and was an early adopter in terms of style blogging – she started posting as The Overdressed in 2009. With that name, you know there’s going to be some drama (style wise, we mean). Al Khalifa got her love of opulence from her grandfather, her blog says, and we’re so glad it was passed down.

Is there anything more joyful than a yellow gown? We’ve been obsessed ever since Michelle Williams’ saffron Vera Wang at the 2006 Oscars. Al Khalifa’s latest is a worthy addition to the file.
This delicate, bucolic number has us booking a holiday in our heads. Here’s to long evenings and walks after dinner.
This pistachio-green beauty is such a modern classic.
Al Khalifa does the pleated-skirt-and-white-shirt combo reasonably often, but this golden number is our favourite. Good stuff.
Let us know when you’re done with this one. We’ll make sure it goes to a good home, we promise. That vest is a revelation.
