Hello there, Rihanna.
The main action of Ocean’s 8 takes place at the Met Gala, which is pretty much fashion’s Superbowl, so we always knew the cast’s red carpet style was going to be major.
Well, the film premiered in New York on Tuesday night, and we can’t say we were disappointed. Think a spot of Elie Saab, some Givenchy, and a Hadid.

The rules around influencer licences in the UAE are changing
Join us for a look at the highlights of this seriously star-studded red carpet. If this is the standard they’re setting for the rest of the tour, we can’t wait.
Sarah Paulson in Prada and Sandra Bullock in Elie Saab
Aren’t these two just perfect variations on a theme? Paulson’s neon Prada is hyper-modern and might wear a lesser clothes horse, but she pulls it off with panache. Bullock’s more classic option from Lebanese designer Saab features similarly embellished shoulders, but becomes more and more sleek as it descends.
They both look stunning, and that’s what we’re here for.
Gigi Hadid in Vera Wang
First her Versace catsuit, and now this dreamy draped Vera Wang, Hadid is on a roll.
Rihanna in Givenchy
This Claire Waight Keller design couldn’t be more different from Meghan Markle’s wedding dress, but they’re both Givenchy — and they’re both gorgeous. Clearly the British-born designer has range.
Rih looks incredible in tone-on-tone metallic purple and some serious diamonds.
Mindy Kaling in Prabal Gurung
This dramatic, textural number might be the best Kaling has ever looked. What a dress. Her jewels are Cartier.
Awkwafina in Reem Acra
Bullock wasn’t the only star in a Middle Eastern designer, either — Awkwafina went for a spare, refined design from Lebanese house Reem Acra.
It’s spare, modern and elegant, and we think we might be looking at a new major red carpet player.
Cate Blanchett in Missoni
Speaking of, here’s all-time classic Cate Blanchett in a Missoni suit. We’d love a look at that fabric close up.
Anne Hathaway in Jean Paul Gaultier
This dramatic number is from Gaultier’s spring 2018 haute couture line.
Helena Bonham Carter in Vivienne Westwood
Let’s finish here, with one charming English eccentric wearing the design of another. Synergy.
