This new Dior store features a private women-only room…

If you’ve ever wanted to try out the new season’s makeup collections, but haven’t wanted to remove your veil in a busy department store, listen up.

A new stand-alone Christian Dior perfume and beauty boutique, which features a private women-only room, has opened in Dubai this month.

The new store launched last Thursday in City Walk II, and offers a wide selection of perfumes, skincare, makeup and colognes for men, as well as four individual beauty counters where you can have a free personalised consultation with a trained Dior makeup expert.

In the boutique you will also find a private consultation room where ladies can feel free to let their hair down and – if wearing one – remove their niqaab, burqa or hijab to try the products in privacy.

The exclusive room features two large vanity tables with an array of makeup, perfumes and skincare to try, and female advisors will be on hand to help.

If you book in advance, you can also try one of the ‘Dior Backstage Services’, where a beauty expert will recreate Dior beauty looks fresh off the runway in a 20 to 30-minute session.

If you have more time on your hands you can book in for a 60-minute beauty One-To-One lesson, or a Made-To-Measure Makeover – both will cost Dhs500, which is redeemable against a purchase.

Bella Hadid for Dior

At the boutique you can get tips on Bella Hadid’s full eye-shadow look from the Dior Cruise 17 show.

It’s not uncommon to find private beauty rooms in boutiques in Saudi Arabia where Muslim women can uncover their face and hair to receive a consultation out of the public eye.

And we’re sure that women of the UAE will appreciate this new measure of modesty while shopping for beauty.

The Dior Beauty boutique can be found in City Walk II (next to Calvin Klein looking onto the main road).
