If ever there was someone who personified how hard work and perseverance pays off it’s designer Nathalie Trad. In November 2014 we named her the winner of the Artist award at the 10th anniversary of the Emirates Woman Woman Of the Year awards, and now it has been revealed that the talented designer will launch her spring/summer 2015 collection exclusively at Harvey Nichols Dubai.
Prepare to make Mall of the Emirates your second as Harvey Nichols Dubai becomes the first store in the world to launch Nathalie Trad’s spring/summer 2015 collection, which is set to be revealed on February 25. Called DINÉ1938, Nathalie Trad’s new line of accessories combines the real and the surreal, taking inspiration from two distinct worlds fused into one narrative. It embodies the spirit of Native American Navajo art infused with the surreal illusions of movement in Op Art.
With vibrant hues of tangerine, spring green and magenta this collection showcases Nathalie’s meticulous eye for detail to create unique pieces of modern luxury. The collection also sees monochrome clutches in checkerboard and animal print delicately and meticulously handcrafted using a variety of materials such as resin, mother of pearl and copper.
“DINÉ1938 is meant to be held, explored and constantly rediscovered, thus instilling within the pieces a sweeping sensorial experience and a shared dimension of meaning,” said Nathalie Trad.

The designer was a huge success at the Emirates Woman Woman of the Year Awards 2014 where she won the Artist category and was recognised for her creative work, in particular her statement accessories, which have become a celebrity favourite. Her A-list clients include Sienna Miller, Olivia Palermo (pictured above with her bag), Karolina Kurkova and Leandra Medine.
Beirut-born Nathalie earned a Bachelor’s degree from the prestigious ESMOD International in Paris in 2007 and in 2008 relocated to New York where she studied at the prestigious Parsons The New School for Design, graduating with a BBA in Design and Management. Nathalie later worked under the mentorship of Proenza Schouler, the highly-coveted New York-based womenswear and accessories brand.
She later moved to Paris, where the designer felt she discovered her own ethos – to take classic shapes and radically transform them, deconstructing and redefining the boundaries of fashion aesthetics.
Now based between London and Dubai, the Natalie Trad label celebrates fast growing success through Nathalie’s already impressive stockist list, which includes Avenue32.com, JOSEPH in London, FarFetch.com, FiveStory NYC, Harvey Nichols Dubai, Bloomingdale’s, Dubai.
