A fashion icon!

Naomi Campbell has been making headlines recently, as many outlets have picked up on Kim Kardashian’s fashion choices as of late, and how most of it is inspired by the 45-year-old supermodel. So last Tuesday, Naomi cemented her place as fashion icon and trendsetter, when she attended the National Portrait Gallery Gala in London in a show-stopping gown from the late Tunisian couturier Azzedine Alaïa.

The supermodel wore a printed floor-length dress from Azzedine Alaïa, who passed away last year in Paris, months after his Fall 2017 couture show. The gown, which featured a plunging neckline and a leather waist-cinching belt, is the designer’s last dress, according to Naomi’s Instagram post. In her post, the English beauty affectionately referred to the designer as ‘Papa’ showing the strong bond the the two had, seeing as how he took her under his wing when she was just 16.

Naomi also represented the region through her jewellery, as she wore diamonds from Lebanese born, American jeweller Samer Halimeh. What brought the outfit together, was the her choice of accessorising – she wore a single, long, navy-coloured glove on her left hand.

Over the years, Naomi has sported some iconic and unforgettable looks from the Tunisian designer. She has even posted several ensembles on her Instagram – we couldn’t not share this look with you!
