According to NRC coach Tom, who shared a picture of Farah and his wife on Instagram, the sports star joined the event of his own volition rather than through a marketing obligation.

“Never before have two incredible individuals embodied and lived the virtues of strength, courage and graft to succeed,” Tom wrote.

“Tonight on your vacation in Dubai, you took the time to come and run with #NRCDubai. Not for photo shoots, sponsors or publicity but for the love of your sport and the running community. You will have transformed lives tonight, and for that I thank and salute you. Your legacy in Dubai will live long after you leave.”

Naturally, having an Olympian pop by your running club caused quite a commotion…

The 33-year-old Mo Farah and his wife Tania are on holiday in Dubai, but for an Olympian, there are no excuses when it comes to skipping workouts.

Mo will be next be competing in the 2017 World Championships in Athletics in London.
