Mint Leaf of London, synonymous in the UK for the best in modern Indian cuisine and ultra-stylish setting, has now jumped ship to Dubai and opened its sister restaurant on the 15th floor of the Emirates Financial Towers, located in the heart of DIFC. With a bespoke drinks menu created by international mixologists, a food menu promising an innovative take on authentic Indian classics and an award-winning bar team, all of which fronted by Head Chef Vivek Kashiwale, you didn’t have to ask us twice to sample the sophisticated business lunch menu.
DÉCOR
Ultra-sleek, ultra-stylish and ultra-sophisticated. The décor is everything you would expect from a restaurant that boasts a menu created to stimulate the senses and a bar experience like no other (there are swinging chairs, enough said!). Aside from the stunning scenery of Dubai skyline through the floor-to-ceiling windows, you will also find plenty to watch at an open kitchen showcasing the talents of the hand-picked team of chefs.
FOOD
For starters we opted for the beetroot cakes (the flavours were out of this world) and the lamb seekh kebab (utterly delightful).
For mains we shared the chicken jalfrezi and the chef’s special salmon salad. The jalfrezi arrived with a side of crispy wedges, plain rice and bell pepper and onion gravy this was quite a large portion size for lunch and, if like me you are a light eater or health conscious, then I reccomend going for the salad. That being said, the jalfrezi had just the right amount of kick and I would choose this again for an evening meal.
The salad was everything you would ask for in a light lunch – fresh, filling and bursting with flavour.
When it came to the dessert , for me, there just wasn’t enough. The carrot cake with cinnamon mascarpone cream and confit orange is a definite must-have.
Our favourite part of our dining experience had to be the drinks menu, the exceptional menu of bespoke drinks included home-made sodas, chilled wine varietal grape juices and an Eton Mess Lassi, which we devoured. We would have stayed all day and sampled them all if we didn’t have to go back to work.
AMBIENCE
Wonderfully swish. The swanky décor and dim lightening creates a cool laid-back vibe.
WHY BOTHER?
This is a trendy venue with great service. Perfect for a chilled dinner and cocktails or a quick business lunch with breathtaking views.

The to-die-for beetroot cakes and an afternoon sampling (in my eyes) the best drinks menu in Dubai.
