We weren’t expecting to see Karlie Kloss at this event, but we’re so glad we did.

Nashville played host to the annual Country Music Awards on Wednesday night, and you won’t be surprised to hear that it was Middle Eastern designers who gave us the best looks of the night.

Sure, there were some other stunning looks too – we’ll get to those – but it was Karlie Kloss in Elie Saab that really blew us away.

Here’s a better look at her gown:

How stunning is that orangey red? Beautiful. And the cut is the perfect mix of structure and movement. It’s a genius move from a designer who’s full of them.

Host Carrie Underwood changed her outfit 11 times over the course of the night, but our favourite was her red carpet look. In a rich royal blue off-the-shoulder gown from Lebanese label Fouad Sarkis, she looked like a total movie star.

This is the best fishtail skirt we’ve seen in a minute. Long sleeves add elegance, and the ruffles are a bit of fun.

Also representing the Middle East was Lea Michele, in Zuhair Murard. That Lebanese label has been having a truly spectacular season, which we’ve discussed here, but Michele’s embellished mini still stands out.

Covered in pearls, feathers and embroidery, it’s a lot of look in the best possible way. We love that she kept it simple with the rest of her look (and we’re very interested in that lip colour).

Here’s a few other looks to cast your eye over…

Thank you for having me Nashville!!! CMAS ❤️❤️❤️ #cmas
