Crystals are a girl’s best-friend…

Miss Canada, Marta Magdalena Stepien, wore a floor-length couture gown from Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco at Miss Universe 2018 this week. The beauty queen wore the dress at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand for the evening gown preliminary competition.

Marta sparkled as she walked down the runway in the gown which was embellished with rose gold Swarovski crystals. She wore her hair down in long loose waves, and accessorised with simple jewellery and bronze makeup.

This is not the first time she has worn the Dubai-based label. The Canadian-Polish beauty queen closed the Michael Cinco show during Arab Fashion Week earlier this year. It was speculated that model would wear a Michael Cinco ensemble as she was spotted at the designer’s atelier in d3 prior to the competition.

The creative director flew to Thailand to support Marta at the event. The 24 year-old did not take the crown in her Michael Cinco dress however, that award went to Miss Philippines,  Catriona Gray, who was awarded the Miss Universe title.
