Our condolences to the families of the victims and to Muslims across the world.
On Friday, we witnessed a horrific shooting at a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, which left at least 49 people dead and injured dozens of others. The attack, which was live-streamed on Facebook, took place during the Friday prayer leaving the Muslim community in shock and mourning.
These acts are meant to fill us with fear and separate us, but instead messages of outpouring support and solidarity with the muslim community filled the internet shortly after. From HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to Barack Obama, world leaders and celebrities shared words of mourning and support.
HH Sheikh Mohammed
We witnessed the most horrific hate crime that killed 49 worshippers on a blessed day. Our condolences to New Zealand, to the families of the victims and to Muslims across the world. On behalf of UAE that declared the Year of Tolerance, we call for a unified stand against hatred.

The heinous and horrific massacre in #NewZealand has taken the lives of innocent worshipers in prayer, proving once again that terrorism has no faith. May God have mercy on the lives lost, grant their families patience, and cure the injured
