The Dubai Marina has got some hot competition coming its way, in the form of Marasi Business Bay.
Thanks to the company behind JBR, Dubai Properties, Business Bay is set to be transformed into a waterfront haven with promenades, a marina, luxury homes, floating villas and a yacht club.
It’s hard to imagine now, what with Business Bay being some what of a concrete jungle, but the new, scenic Marasi Business Bay development, which will cost over Dhs1 billion, will sit alongside, and compliment, the Dubai Water Canal project, which is set to finish this year.

The new Marasi Business Bay waterfront area will make the Marina look miniature in comparison. It fact, it will be the largest in the emirates at 12km long and 15 metres wide.
Marasi Business Bay, which will home three RTA Marina stations, is set to become a major future landmark in Dubai – an unprecedented unique waterside destination concept in the UAE and the Middle East.

The exciting new development will feature the region’s first purpose-built yachting destination with five palm tree lined marinas with with 1,250 berths. The unique design will include floating restaurants and cafes, alongside onshore boutique shopping and a range of leisure and entertainment facilities. The development’s residential units, which are to be built on water with boat access, will provide unparalleled direct canal views and create a unique new living proposition for the real estate market in Dubai.

While the waterside promenade, which will feature a range of local and international businesses and a total of 250,000 square metres of open space, including parks and the waterfront promenade. Over 100 shops and outlets span approximately 16,000 square metres. The Park area spans almost 60,000 square metres, should be complete before the end of this year, the total project will be ready in 2020.
