What’s better than a fancy new outfit? One that you got for 90 per cent off, of course.
If you’re in need of a wardrobe refresh, or are gearing up to make a start on your Christmas shopping, just wait another week or so.
Why? Because a city-wide sale is coming to Dubai to celebrate National Day.
The price-slashing will run from December 1 to 3 across most of Dubai’s malls, and shops participating in the sale will offer discounts ranging between 30 and 90 per cent on selected items.
(So no, it’s not a sale on everything, but we imagine you can definitely get few Christmas gifts on the cheap).

The weekend of discounts has been launched by Dubai Tourism and Dubai Festivals to mark the UAE’s 45th National Day.
The public and private sectors will be getting a long weekend thanks to the public holiday, so you best get to the malls early if you want to beat the crowds.
We don’t know yet exactly which stores will be taking part (retailers have until November 29 to register), but we will keep you updated.
What we do know is that a mix of international and homegrown brands will participate, and it’ll be the last sale until the month-long Dubai Shopping Festival kicks off on December 26.
Can’t face the crowds? Some UAE online retailers, including Souq and Namshi, are running Black Friday discounts this month – or check out the recently opened Outlet Village (with our handy guide to the stores on offer).
