The youngest member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan made history

Last year, Forbes magazine sent social media into a frenzy when they announced that Kylie Jenner, who was their cover-star at the time, was on her way to becoming the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. Now, the magazine has announced that the make-up mogul, who is 21-years-old, officially holds that title.

Forbes list means that Kylie has clinched the title from the founder of facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, who was previously the youngest self-made billionaire. Not only that, but the reality-tv star is also the youngest billionaire to ever make the list, Mark was 23 when he held the title.

The young mother’s fortune has nothing to do with her sister’s fame or her family’s infamous reality TV show, Keeping up with the Kardashians. It all comes courtesy of her namesake cosmetics company, which she founded in 2015, with her lip kits quickly becoming the beauty world’s biggest obsession.

In its four years, Kylie Cosmetics has managed to evolve from its signature ‘Kylie lip kits’ to include highlighters, bronzers, blushes, eyeshadow palettes and setting powders, which are launching later this week.

Kylie acknowledge her new title in an interview with the magazine, saying, “The recognition feels really good. That’s a pat on the back. It’s the power of social media. I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything. I see Kylie Cosmetics going very far. I work really hard.”
