Our top picks: 6 things to do in the UAE this weekend
Consider the following image, which is the living and dining area of the Emerald Palace’s presidential suite.
Or this view of one of the hotel’s mezzanine bedrooms:
Just like ours at home, then.
While an opening date for the 389-room resort wasn’t yet available, the team are raring to go.
“We look forward to welcoming our discerning guests to our palace by the sea in 2018, and bringing them on our journey,” says managing director Sebastien Mariette said.
“We aim to offer a combination of timeless opulence and world- class luxury to guests visiting Dubai, guaranteed to create unforgettable memories.”
The Emerald Palace is set on 500 metres of private beach on the Palm Jumeirah’s West Crescent. It comes complete with a gold-leaf decorated ballroom…
And an 80-seat private cinema.
The resort will have a 3,000 Cinq Mondes square-metre spa and hammam, a fitness centre, and a yoga studio, and an eight-hole putting green.
For dining options, Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse will head up his first UAE venture, Mix, and New York Italian concept All’onda will join too.
Naturally, you can also expect all-day dining and a pool and beach bar.
Now we’re just wondering when we can book in a little weekend trip. We’re mentally packing our bags already.
