Did Bella Hadid and The Weeknd just make things Instagram official?
It wasn’t long ago that Gigi Hadid confirmed she had rekindled her romance with Zayn Malik, and now it looks like her sister Bella has reunited with former flame The Weeknd.
After several sightings together over the summer – most notably at the Cannes Film Festival in May, where they were spotted looking very cosy in each other’s company – the duo have enjoyed a weekend of partying with friends in Tokyo.
The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, posted an Instagram Story of the half-Palestinian model laughing as the group checked out Tokyo’s famous Robot Restaurant, a dinner show featuring robotic monsters surrounded by dancing girls and laser beams.
The group later hit up a karaoke bar, donning costumes and singing along to hits like N.E.R.D’s Everyone Nose (All the Girls Standing in the Line for the Bathroom) and Britney Spears’ Lucky.

The Starboy singer also shared a photo of himself with two of his friends in the frenetic Japanese capital, making sure to credit the photographer as – you guessed it – @bellahadid.
Bella and Abel broke up in November 2016, after a year and a half of dating. The musician went on to date Selena Gomez, before ending things in October 2017.
The Weeknd’s latest album, My Dear Melancholy, features lyrics to do with having regrets about an ex, with reference to a mystery “equestrian” on the track Wasted Times – or not so mysterious, considering Bella’s original passion was horse riding.
“Abel and Bella never lost touch and always reconnect when they are in the same places,” a source told E! News in May.
“Bella has always had strong feelings for Abel. He is definitely dating around, but him and Bella are always flirty and spend time together when they see each other. Especially when they are out partying.”
We’ll be closely following this developing story…
