The Bollywood actress looks like a million bucks at Cannes… and we have an Arab designer to thank for this scene-stealing gown.

It’d take us a long while to whittle down Sonam Kapoor’s top 10 red-carpet looks – however one particular dress might have just whizzed straight into the #1 spot.

The Bollywood legend stepped out at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, and we just can’t stop staring at her romantic blush-pink gown.

The form-fitting number, which features ethereal draped sleeves and train along with ornate embroidery, was custom-created for the actress by Elie Saab.

The Lebanese label posted a glowing tribute to Kapoor on its Instagram page, declaring that the Neerja star “lit up the red carpet” at The Meyerowitz Stories’ screening.

The understated yet sparkly concoction manages to blend both fairy-tale princess and exotic glamour all at once.

Kapoor was just as taken with the gown, writing on Instagram: “What amazing details! Thanks so much Mr. Saab for making me this stunning creation!”

The star also revealed that her entire look was styled by her sister, Rhea Kapoor, with makeup by L’Oréal and custom-made Kalyan jewellery.

Despite her polished appearance, Kapoor earlier revealed she hadn’t “prepared much for Cannes” this year.

“This year, since we are busy doing so many other things, I have not prepared much for Cannes. Usually, my sister Rhea styles me and she is busy making the film Veere Di Wedding. I was busy shooting for two films and promoting our fashion brand Rheson,” the actress told news agency PTI.

“We decided not to put any pressure on ourselves and just have a good time. So we don’t think about it much. It’s not about the status quo of being on the red carpet.”

Kapoor earlier posed at the annual French film festival in a psychedelically printed NorBlack NorWhite sari for a L’Oréal photo shoot.

Fellow Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai also dominated headlines the day before after donning a Dubai-based designer for a real Cinderella moment.

The Indian actress and model chose a billowing blue number from Michael Cinco for the premiere of action-adventure film Okja, which wouldn’t look out of place in a Disney live-action film.

The stupendous ball gown featured intricate embroidery and ethereal textures paired against a modern architectural off-shoulder cut, while Rai kept her hair and makeup perfectly pared down.
