With International Women’s Day fast approaching (March 8), celebrations of humanity’s better half’s contributions to the world are set to take place.

For the third time, the World of Women (WOW) Film Fair is back, a festival that seeks to highlight the diversity of independent filmmaking by women. There’ll be all kinds of movies and shorts, as well as guest speakers and workshops, with an awards ceremony credit five women who’ve shown excellence in their fields. All of the funds raised from ticket sales will go towards the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children in Dubai – an organisation that helps women and children survivors of human trafficking.

More Than A Woman Art Exhibition

More Than A Woman Art Exhibition

The Pullman Dubai is set to showcase a series of contemporary portrait and figurative paintings of symbolic women, organised by Dubai-based artist Susan Brooker. The exhibition, titled More Than A Woman follows the theme of depicting inspirational women proudly displaying their cultural heritage.
