You’re reading Emirates Woman, so there’s a solid chance you care about fashion a lot. That makes the recently opened Musée Yves Saint Laurent in Marrakech an absolute must. The YSL museum is set in the grounds of the Jardin Majorelle, which would be worth a visit in their own right. You’ll be familiar with the electric blue villa at the centre of these botanic gardens – it’s got to be one of the most photogenic homes on the planet. Traditional Moroccan riads are homes with tiled interior courtyards that will make you feel like a very glamorous time traveller. If you do your research, you can find a gorgeous one to stay in, but seasoned travellers say to choose carefully. They’re not all created equal.
Shopping in Marrakech’s Medina is an experience, even for those of us who are accustomed to bargaining in souks. It’s worth it, though. We’d be taking a spare suitcase.
Not that we don’t get a good sunset here in Dubai, but isn’t that something special? We’d say it’s worth travelling for.
