It’s official—2017 is behind us, and we’ve entered the UAE’s Year of Zayed.
And there were celebrations aplenty to mark the occasion here in the UAE, from the Burj Khalifa’s world-record-breaking light show to many an A-list performance.
So, as we still struggle to get our heads around the fact that we need to write 2018 in our diaries, we’ve pulled together a collection of all the celebrities that rang in the new year here in the Emirates.
The powerhouse Lebanese singer performed at Dubai’s Festival Arena for a New Year’s show, dazzling the crowd in a suitably festive sequinned Georges Hobeika gown.
The Mean Girls star (and part-time Dubai resident) partied in Downtown, according to an Instagram video she shared on the night. In the short clip, the actress said she was looking forward to 2018 and all the opportunities the world was facing.
“We have new, incredible things that we’re doing with Saudi Arabia and women empowerment and I just want to thank all the supporters that have been there for me in my whole life,” said Lohan.
The Burj Khalifa might have been clad in lasers this year, but this US singer created fireworks at her New Year’s Eve show in Yas Island’s du Arena.
