His last collection for Chanel will be shown tomorrow.
We are approaching the end of Paris Fashion Week and with it the final show that the late Karl Lagerfeld has designed for Chanel.
The emotions were already running high during his last show for Fendi in Milan, but we expect tomorrows runway at the Grand Palais to be even more moving – let’s hope front row have their hankies at the ready.
But if you thought that you won’t be hearing from the famed German creative again, you would be wrong. The French Maison released his final interview on the brand’s 3.55 podcast series.
The conversation was hosted by Monocle’s editor in chief, Tyler Brûlé, and was recorded ahead of Métiers d’Art show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in December 2018.
During the 45-minute chat, the pair discuss Chanel’s many métiers and craftsmanship as well as Lagerfeld’s work for the house since he took charge in 1982.
We are subscribed and ready to listen.
