As a Fashion Police panellist and regular red-carpet interviewer, it’s fair to say Giuliana Rancic knows a thing or two about A-list beauty.
And now the popular TV presenter and Daytime Emmy award-winner is bringing all her knowledge to Dubai, alongside a crowd of celebrity makeup artists.
Rancic is set to host the city’s first-ever PopCon festival, which will be held at the Dubai Outlet Mall between October 27 and 29.
And if you’re a beauty junkie, it sounds like a place you need to be.
Rancic will be holding several panel discussions as part of the BeautyFest segment, and there’ll also be workshops held by prominent makeup artists.
Those attending include YouTube star Chrisspy Makeup (she has a whopping 1.5 million subscribers to her video channel), makeup and hair stylist Etienne Ortega (who’s worked with all the Kardashians, Christina Aguilera and Eva Longoria, to name a few), and Kuwaiti beauty guru The Real Fouz.

“I am thrilled to be part of PopCon and even more excited that it’s happening for the first time in Dubai,” said Rancic.
“It’s going to be a buzzing three-day extravaganza that will include pop culture elements mixed with lifestyle and beauty trends to satisfy all tastes for this diverse cosmopolitan city.”
PopCon will be free to enter (hurrah!), as will the panel discussions – however attendees must email firstname.lastname@example.org to register beforehand.
The celebrity makeup artist workshops however, costs between Dhs2,000 and Dhs4,000 for a space, as there’s only 200 seats per event.
For the more expensive tickets, you’ll also get the chance for a meet-and-greet, plus a goodie bag – timings of workshops will be available on popcon.com in the near future.
Popcon isn’t just about beauty though – the pop culture festival also features events around music, TV, film, comics and video games (so your plus one will have plenty to see while you’re getting your workshop on).
There’s set to be some big performers announced, so we’ll keep you updated.
The only confirmed acts so far are electronic superstars Major Lazer and recently reformed UK girl group All Saints, who’ll perform at the festival’s opening night show, Fiesta De Los Muertos.
