You don’t have to pay particularly close attention to the fashion world to notice the mutual appreciation between Gigi Hadid and Versace.
The half-Palestinian supermodel is a regular on Versace runways and in their campaigns, and we can see why. She wears their more-is-more aesthetic so well.

From the looks of things, though, it’s not just a business relationship. Hadid just posted sweet, sincere message to Donatella Versace on Instagram to mark the designer’s birthday.
“Wishing you the happiest birthday @donatella_versace, and hope your year is filled with all the love, light, good health, and laughter you deserve,” Hadid wrote in her caption.
“I am so grateful to have you in my life, thank you for everything… Can’t wait for our big date night Monday 😉 @versace !!! xxG.”
The designer celebrates her birthday today, on May 2.
Hadid’s post mirrors one from Versace back on April 23, when the model turned 23.
Between throwback shots of Hadid on the runway and on set with the brand, Versace wished her a happy birthday.
“Sorry I can’t be there with you,” she said. “We all miss you, we all love you. You’re part of the Versace family and you have a special place in my heart.”
We’re guessing Versace meant she wasn’t able to make Hadid’s birthday party in New York, but in some ways she was there in spirit. Hadid wore a stunning gold embellished mini dress from the house.
Well, we’re wishing Versace many happy returns as well.
