If there’s one concept we’d like to export to all our home cities, it’s that of the Dubai-style ladies night. There’s something about a few free glasses of something that make getting dressed up and going out midweek seem a lot more appealing.
You want to know you’re getting the good stuff, though, and there are almost too many options to count. To that end, we’ve rounded up five relatively recent additions to the scene that we think are worth your attention.

Barbary
Who knew Barsha Heights (formerly Tecom) could be this cool? Barbary Deli + Cocktail Club is one of the city’s hottest new spots, and their ladies night is absolutely one to check out. We love the projector behind the DJ, we love the fit-out, and we love the bar selection. 12 Inch Tuesdays sees free drinks for ladies from 8-12pm, alongside a vinyl soundtrack. Ring ahead as this tends to fill up.

7 Elephants
This DIFC spot is ideal if you and your posse can’t arrive at a consensus on what you feel like eating – its menu boasts seven different cuisines. If it’s drinks you’re after, though, Monday is the night to head along. Ladies can try five signature cocktails from 6-11pm. A lively and sophisticated evening.

STK
Chrissy Teigen and Kim Kardashian are known to frequent the Los Angeles iteration of this upscale steakhouse, and the Dubai location is just as glam. On Tuesdays, they offer set menu options from Dhs149 and three glasses to see you through the evening. Make sure to book ahead. This is one ladies night where you’re unlikely to starve.

Soho Garden
With all the different seating options at this Meydan spot, you could go several weeks in a row and feel like you were at a different bar each time. They’re encouraging a creative, arty crowd with their new Wednesday events, so expect great music, cool people, and free-flowing grape for ladies from 8-12pm. DJ Adam Graca will be in charge of tunes this week.

Ramusake
We really couldn’t finish this without mentioning Ramusake’s hugely popular Miss Independent night. This JBR spot reliably packs out on a Wednesday, and we can see why. With free-flowing grape and classic hip hop and R&B, there’s a lot to love. If you haven’t already tried the eggplant, get to it and thank us later.
