Rove Downtown, the midscale spot located handily near The Dubai Mall, will be the first hotel-cinema in the city, according to developer Emaar, when the 49-seat screen opens later this year.
The boutique Reel Cinema branch will cater to both hotel guests and residents, and looks to be kitted out with a quirky touch.
The cosy screen will feature comfy chairs with a splash of bold print, channeling a “distinct inner-city vibe”.
The ticket price will include popcorn and a soft drink, Reel revealed in a statement, and the cinema will screen everything from blockbusters to regional films and even big football matches, from time to time.
It’ll also be possible to book out the screen for group events and corporate gatherings (hello perfect hen party idea).
Reel Cinemas Rove Downtown is expected to open in the first half of 2018, with ticket prices expected to be confirmed closer to the launch date.
It won’t be the only film-themed accommodation in the city either, with Aloft Dubai City Centre Deira set to open in the near future.
