In this week’s Emirates Woman wearing, Stylist Carmel shows us that an LBD is a wardrobe staple for a reason.
Ever since Audrey Hepburn and Breakfast at Tiffany’s the little black dress has been an iconic piece that every woman needs to own.
“I’ve had this little black silk dress by Topshop Boutique for over 11 years and I’ve re-worked it more times than I can remember,” says Carmel about working the classic dress.
“Whether it be with a floral headband for the beach, with heels and a sequin jacket for the evening, or tucked into a skirt and worn as a top, the dress is the most multi-functional piece in my wardrobe. Today I’ve teamed it with flats, a vintage leather belt and a long floral dress (worn as a jacket) for a laid-back office look.”
