Just when you though the world of fashion couldn’t shock us anymore, Etoile boutique put on a record breaking show last night, during the Dubai Shopping Festival, that saw models scaling the Burj Khalifa. Think Mission Impossible meets catwalk.
Themed around the surrounding glamour of the region, Etoile’s vertical catwalk showcased the boutique’s S/S14 collection, currently available during the Dubai Shopping Festival. The festival, which runs until February 2, aims to enrich the shopping experiences of visitors to Dubai with major discounts and, as this show proved, high entertainment and fashion.
The first of its kind, the fashion show started from the tallest building in the world – Burj Khalifa – with acrobats descending down the building outside the Armani Pavilion while the horizontal catwalk showcased models wearing the collection from Etoile boutique.
The show included 40 lust-worthy looks from designers including Alaia, Amanda Wakeley Atelier, Antonio Marras, Christian Dior, Collette Dinnigan, Ingie Paris, Issa London, Roksanda Ilincic, Safiyaa, Thomas Wylde and Raoul. The revolutionary catwalk attracted international media and Dubai’s trendsetters, who were mesmerised by the totally original vertical show.
Ingie Chalhoub CEO and Managing Director of Etoile Group and Creative Director of Fashion label Ingie Paris, said: “We are very excited to be partners of Dubai Shopping Festival for this spectacular event. As the pioneers of luxury fashion in the region, we are glad to show how the Etoile S/S14 collection pushes the boundaries of fashion and gravity in the first ever vertical catwalk on the Burj Khalifa.”

We’re not sure what they will think of next, but this one will be hard to beat.
