Another season, another style extravaganza with the Dubai Design District (d3) set to be taken over yet again by hot local designers, presenting their spring/summer 2017 collections.
The bi-annual fashion event (season 7 took place in April), is the UAE’s equivalent to the international fashion weeks, showcasing ready-to-wear as well as couture lines and championing Middle Eastern design talent – the event has even propelled the careers of rising, local designers.
Since its launch in April 2013, the fashion platform has grown from strength to strength. In January 2016, FFWD Season 7 earned the official endorsement of the Dubai Design and Fashion Council (DDFC) and in April it was moved from its usual location at Madinat Jumeirah to Dubai’s creative hub, d3.

During FFWD Season 8 guests will watch live catwalk shows, check out local talent at bespoke presentations, shop jewellery collections at The Showcase and learn about the industry through a series of talks and panel discussions spearheaded by leading professionals.
