An environmental friendly collection
Spanish luxury fashion house, Balenciaga, collaborated with online retailer Farfetch to offer its customers an exclusive collection compromising of limited edition pieces. The line will launch globally on Tuesday, and will feature ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories for women, men and kids in limited quantities.

The collection will be cruelty-free as it will not include leather, fur, or down. Balenciaga is aiming to bring awareness to threatened species through their designs. The capsule line will include selected ready-to-wear pieces and bags featuring illustrations of threatened animal species symbolic of gentle strength. The line will include pieces in previously unseen colours and fabrics from the brand.
Farfetch founder and chief executive officer, José Neves commented on the team-up, “We think the collection will delight people who are existing fans of the brand, as well as capturing the imagination of new fans as well.”
Cédric Charbit, Chief Executive Officer of Balenciaga, also expressed his excitement, saying “Balenciaga is pleased to launch this exclusive collection. Bringing awareness to threatened species and supporting the conservation actions of IUCN is part of our vision.”
